RECAP – COFFEE WITH THE PASTOR – RECORDED WEDNESDAY JANUARY 5, 2022
We begin the new year with all sorts of things ahead of us. This Sunday is Baptismal Sunday where we celebrate the baptism of our Lord and renew our baptismal vows. We hear the story of Jesus being baptized in the Jordan by John the Baptist. Interestingly enough, we see the fullness of the triune God present and that is a beautiful thing to behold.
On January 26th we will be holding our Lumberjack once again. This year it will only be pickup. You will get a ticket through the church office and as you drive through the meal will be brought out to you. We have very high hopes that our dining room will once again be open for the 2023 Lumberjack.
We hope to have the new sign at the outside of the church installed soon. We have been working on this project for the past three years. This will be a high density 3D sign that will allow us to control the postings from inside the church. We will post worship service times, events, and any other information that we feel is useful.
A reminder that during the time of pandemic we are offering our worship services online for those who are unable to worship here at the church with us. Those locations and times will be posted at the end of this recap.
There has been a rising concerns about the omicron variant that is spreading rapidly throughout our country. Please consider getting vaccines if you have not already done so. By in large those who have been hospitalized with this latest variant have not been vaccinated. With that said, we are still following the policy of strongly recommending that those who enter the church or come to worship ware their masks. We have blue tape in the pews to help you safely distance from other visitors. We have masks and hand sanitizers available and offer two areas here at the church where you can worship other than in the main sanctuary, the lounge and the fellowship hall. Audio and visual are available in both areas. If you do not feel well on the day of worship please stay home and worship with us online. This pandemic will not last forever and until then we want you all to be as safe as possible.
The adult study and a couple of forums are beginning soon. More information will be coming on these next week. That is all for today. Pastor Dave wishes you a beautiful day, please reach out to God often in prayer. Until next time.
