MESSAGE FROM SUE PFANNENSTIEL
Dear Neighbors in the Pew, Thank you forhelping me fill the blessing box. We have been told that there are daily visitors to it. Food insecurity is the current term used to describe hungry people. There are many out there, and maybe among us also. While I was going to nursing school, I struggled to feed my family. Fortunately we always had milk, bread, and peanut butter. Food Stamps were there for us, even though I was embarrassed to use them. There were no “blessing boxes” in our neighborhood. I appreciate the privacy of this distribution. The following items would be helpful to those who are in need.
• Protein sources like canned fish (tuna & salmon), canned beef / chicken, canned beans, boxed cheese, cheese spread that doesn’t need refrigeration.
• Boxed milk, dry milk, canned milk, puddings.
• Special treats: coffee, cookies, bread & crackers.
• Non-food items not covered by government programs like detergent, cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, toilet paper and tissues.
Life is better when sharing with others.
Thank you everyone.
Sue
