MISSION OF THE MONTH: Back-pack Buddies: By Carol Krueger
There are children in our community experiencing hunger or food insecurity. Backpack Buddies delivers a bag to children in need once a week to their school in Door County. Currently serving 257 children preschool age to 5th grade, the cost for the school year is $20,000. Parents, teachers and kids are enthusiastic about the Back-Pack Buddies program. Perhaps you would like to donate for one child for one school year. That would be $77.
