We are officially in our summer months.  We are now including Café Joy with coffee and refreshments with our Sunday worship here at Sturgeon Bay UMC beginning at 9:00 AM and after the 10:00 AM worship service.  Jacksonport worship remains at 8:30 AM outdoors or indoors with the pipe organ if weather is unfriendly.   Our policies remain that masks are recommended but not required.  The new variant, Delta Virus, seems to be spreading across the country, however, we are told that those who are vaccinated are protected, but it does not mean that you cannot carry it to others who have not been vaccinated.

Pastor Dave wants to thank everyone for the uptick in attendance and let you know that it is so wonderful to have our friends coming back to Sunday Worship.  A word for those who have been caring for this church, we need you back.   It is now time to call for volunteers again to provide the wonderful services which helped to make things run so smoothly.  Services like providing flowers inside and outside the church, friendly greeters welcoming people as they arrive, ushers, and the return of the Adult Forum just to name a few.  We do have vacation bible school planned this summer from August 16th through August 19th from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM for Operation Dig!   The only cost to you will be $5.00 per child for food for dinner.  Volunteers will be needed for this program as well so mark your calendars.

Our children’s Sunday School is planned for 9:00 AM this fall and hopefully an Adult Forum will return too.  Pastor Dave does have an adult new class starting also at 9:00 AM on Sundays in October “Believe” for 30-week program in 10-week sections.  We will let you know about the books, registration, and exact dates soon.  Our worship will remain with one service at 10:00 AM.

A final note on your participation here at the church, if you see something that needs to be done around the church, please let Pastor Dave or call the church office to let us know you wish to provide a service.  We want and need you all back to help us thrive in our relationship with each other and with God.  May God Bless you all….

Pastor Dave
