RECAP COFFEE WITH THE PASTOR – WEDNESDAY – DECEMBER 12, 2021

Pastor Dave comments on the snow that has finally come to Door County and that the official date of winter is soon to be here.  After that date we can begin to look forward to the slow coming of longer days and eventually Spring.  It can be gloomy when there is not as much daylight.  We have entered the busy time of the year, the Christmas Season.  We are more than halfway through the season of Advent.  There will be two Christmas Eve Services.  The 4:00 PM service will be mask expected and the 7:00 PM Service will be mask recommended.  Pastor Dave is looking forward to the Christmas Eve Services this year as we were unable to gather last year on this special occasion.  There will not be a service at Jacksonport this year due to the small space that we would have to crowd into and the inability to properly ventilate.  We are hopeful that we can continue this tradition next year.  If you are unable to attend our services please join us online for worship.

Service Recordings will be available to you on Christmas Day or Sunday at the latest.

Service Recordings will be delayed One Week for the Following:

  • WDOR Radio 93.9 FM or 910 AM 9:30 AM Sunday Mornings
  • Public Access TV on Channel 989 Wednesdays at 8 and 5 PM and again on Sundays at noon and 3 PM

Pastor Dave is looking forward to Christmas and hopes that you are as well.  Even though some of our hearts may be hurting, God still is and gives us hope that as He lives so you shall live.  So let us rejoice in the birth of our Lord and Savior this Christmas regardless of our circumstances.

The end of the year this year we will be looking at our financial situation pretty closely and setting goals for the church leadership.  Pandemic wise, things are not going well right now.  The hospitals beds are full of Covid patients and hopefully this trend will decline soon.  We do need to be aware of this situation and use caution to keep ourselves safe and protected whenever possible.  Please always error on the side of caution.  We are making this a priority here at the church as well,.  Until the pandemic is under control we are stressing the use of masks when we are gathering together.  We are also limiting our home and hospital visits unless it is a critical or an end of life issue.  We do, however, want to know how you are doing.  Please contact us or have a family member contact us via email or calling the church office if you have a need or prayer request.  We will make every attempt to assist where possible.

Pastor Dave closes by praying that you can stay warm and safe. Next week Pastor Dave will be talking to you from Minnesota. He will be taking a few days during the week to visit family. He prays that God bless you and keep you in his care.  In Jesus Holy Name.
