In spite of governmental non-support of Mar Elias school, recent excitement was that Israel’s smartest student is an Arab, Mohammed Zeiden, a new graduate. He achieved the highest academic testing score in the nation which speaks of the quality of education he received.
Mohammed says, “Mar Elias high school is more than a normal school. It feels more like a family. There are special teachers. They are really great. As a Mar Elias student, I had the inner feeling that I can reach whatever I want if I try as hard as possible..”
