Neighbor to Neighbor of Sturgeon Bay is a  non-profit organization that comforts and assists people experiencing problems arising from conditions or limitations that lead to a deterioration in their quality of life.  Volunteers are the key to our services and a neighbor’s independence.  Volunteers are screened, trained, and particiipate in on-going training.  Through our Peer Companion and Respite for Caregivers  programs, matches between volunteers and clients are made based on need, location in Door County and compatibility.  Volunteers of all ages are welcome.  Volunteers under the age of 18 must be partnered with someone over 18.  Intergenerational volunteering (adult and child) is encouraaged and can be a beneficcial life experience for families.  Volunteers carry out all aspects of our Medical Equipment Loan program, as well.  On-call volunteers meet clients and assist them in selecting medical equipment meeting their needs.  This program has helped a number of people in our church.
