MISSIONS: The May Mission project is Habitat for Humanity – Celebrating 30 years in Door County throughout 2023!! In their 30 years, they’ve built 48 homes and 110 home repair projects in Door County, impacting over 474 people including 172 children. Separate from building and repairing homes, they have ReStore, a retail store, which collects donated furniture, appliances, parts, and other home goods and offers them back to the community at a very low cost. Addi- tionally, their Ramp Up program enables accessibility for residence in need, enabling them to come and go from their homes with greater ease. To continue these efforts in 2023, they need to grow additional financial and volunteer resources.
-
Their goals for 2023 are:
-
Build two homes in 2023
-
Complete 50 Home Repair Projects
-
20 Deconstruction Projects
-
Grow ReStore sales
-
Continue the Ramp Up Door County, an accessibility ramp lending
program.
