COFFEE WITH THE PASTOR – March 10, 2021
Spring brings with it many good things. Open windows, fresh air, pleasant walks, and trees/plants budding and hopefully the return of worshiping together again. Pastor Dave is pleased to say that we are still on target to open the church to members and friends only on the first Thursday after Easter during our worship service recording sessions. Times will be soon published. Additionally, the first Sunday of May we are looking at offering a 10:00 AM worship service here also for only church members and friends. That will be communion Sunday and elements will be placed in the pews or you may bring your own. This will provide us with two services to attend to start with. We ask that for both of them that you wear masks until seated and social distance from others that are not in your group. There will be no ushers, but if you wish to leave an offering you can leave it in the collection plate at the back of the church. Then if the medical professionals confirm it is safe to proceed, the hope is that the first Sunday in June we can announce our opening to the public. Jacksonport will open for outdoor services hopefully on Memorial Day weekend at 8:30 AM. In regard to Café Joy, we are hoping to be able to serve coffee and some type of refreshment sometime in May. Details to follow.
Next week Pastor Dave will discuss what is happening with the denomination. There are lots of things going on. A whole new denomination will be splintering off which is exciting news for some and concerning news for others. More information on this next week in Coffee With The Pastor.
Blessings…
